Computer Networking Technician Diploma
<<Programs
The Computer and Networking Technician Program at Hawkeye Community College is a one-year program that focuses on computer and operating systems configurations, diagnostics, and repair. This program is designed to directly transfer into one of Hawkeye's two-year Associate of Applied Science degree programs, giving students some flexibility to decide where they want to go after graduation.
Students study hardware, operating systems, and networking concepts. Students gain hands-on experience in installation, troubleshooting, and repair of all internal components. They study Microsoft desktop and network operating systems and Linux. Networking concepts are presented through Hawkeye's Cisco Academy providing students an option to pursue their Cisco and A+ certification. Students are encouraged to pursue their Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) and A+ certifications.
